About:

Gus Bickford is the Company President. A graduate of Brown University with a degree in Organizational Behavior, he has a strong background in Database Management and Computer Technology, with over 29 years experience in creating and managing large databases, targeting and modeling.

A premier database consultant, Gus worked on the team that created the National Voter File – VoteBuilder - for the Democratic National Committee. A two-year project ('05 and '06), tasks included state-by-state evaluation, data research, tool development and implementation as well as political consensus building. In 2007 and 2008, Factotum Productions provided targeting for the Hillary Clinton for President campaign; first in New Hampshire and after the primary victory for 42 additional State Primaries. In 2012, Gus and his team provided targeting in Massachusetts for the Elizabeth Warren for US Senate and in New Hampshire for Maggie Hassen for Governor. In 2014, Gus was the pollster and key strategist for Marian Ryan's Middlesex County District Attorney's race. He has worked in Connecticut, Massachusetts and NH, providing targeting for Blumenthal for US Senate (CT), Malloy for Governor(CT), Tsongas for Congress (MA) and Kuster for Congress (NH). Other National experience includes voter file management for Kerry Presidential 2004, Ohio and Mississippi Democratic Party data management and national targeting and file management for Move-on, Progressive Future and the Obama Presidential General Election.

Prior to founding Factotum Productions, Gus served as a Director of Systems Integration for Predictive Networks, an online software business in Cambridge, MA and served for 5 years as the Executive Director of the MA State Party. An active Democrat, he has served as Deputy Treasurer to the Party and is currently a three term Democratic National Committee Member and the Chair of the Rules Committee.
